Larvik
The quarries
Hedrum and Grinda are located by Landhjem in the community of Larvik appr. 2 km. north of Larvik town. Tjoelling is located at Klaastad in the community of Larvik, between Larvik and Sandefjord. Larvik is situated along the south eastern coast of Norway, appr. 100 km. south of Oslo.
The stone from our quarries is Larvikite, of igneous origin and crystallized, making it suitable for a variety of purposes.
- The Larvikite from Hedrum and Grinda is leight grey (/bluish) coarse grained with a density of appr. 2,7 tons/m3.
- The Larvikite from Tjølling is dark grey/black with a density of appr. 2,7 tons/m3.
The quarry is located 8 km. from the harbor of Larvik, from where we are able to ship boulders.
